Mini Inventors

This week in Reception we have been using our imagination and creative ideas to become inventors!

We have explored different inventions and ordering how inventions have changed through time.  We also looked around the school to find different inventions and talk about them.  We have read Rosie Revere and using our own resilience to build inventions in different ways, both indoors and out.  We have had to think of problems that needed solutions and solve these using our inventions.

Thomas created a juice maker that had a massive straw and the option to change the flavour of juice at the push of a button.  George made his brother a keyboard that allowed his mum to press and button to make him come down for his dinner!  Matilda designed a toilet that exploded her dad off it so she could go!

We love to build trap inventions outdoors and some of these designs have become incredibly large scale with lots of children working together to create a masterpiece!  We have written about our invention designs too, explaining how they work and what they do.
