Nursery

Our amazing Nursery children have been settling in to new routines and getting to know new friends. They have been exploring all the exciting activities that Nursery has to offer. The mud kitchen has been very popular and the children have been creating all sorts of wonderful   dishes. We are incredibly proud of how the children have adapted to their new setting. They have demonstrated courage, friendliness and resilience in meeting the exciting new challenges. We are looking forward to the year ahead with this wonderful group of  children!

Reception

Wow, we can hardly believe that the children have only been with us for two and a half weeks. They have settled into routines amazingly and are beginning to make new friendships in their new classes. Your children must be going to bed early because we have been so busy exploring the   different areas of school and having fun with our learning both inside and outside of the classroom. We have used the cookery room to make ladybird biscuits, fruit and honey salad and blackberry crumble which we made with blackberries picked from our school field. We have also been   looking closely for minibeasts around school. We noticed lots of bees on our lavender bush so we used the Internet to find out all about bees. We also listened to ‘Flight of the Bumble Bee’ by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and used paint and pens to imagine where the bee would be flying to whilst we listened to the music. I wonder what animal we will learn about next week.
